He was busy, he was tired, he was sad sometimes. He walked many miles while preaching and healing people. He was dealing with friends with interesting personalities, and awkward questions. He wasn't always in the best mood to play.
But none of these things were a barrier for him to let them come!
Jesus let the kids come to him, learn from him, play with him.
I can easily picture Jesus like this... playing games with the kids, teaching them with simple things, healing them, defending them.
I picture Jesus smiling with their questions, sharing a yummy piece of bread with them, listening to their funny stories.
I picture Jesus comforting their cry, helping them with a gentle smile.
I picture Jesus telling them exciting stories, and revealing them some hidden treasures.
I picture Jesus telling them: "I'll be waiting for you at my House."
I picture Jesus full of love for those little ones running around while he preached.
I picture Jesus saying: "Let them come to me. I love them, and I want to be close to them."
What a great example for us!
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
If Jesus showed us that children were important, even with his “busy agenda”; we should follow his example by teaching them the Word of God with love, patience and joy.
Guiding our children in the path of the Lord is crucial so that they don’t run from Him when they become adults.
Instructing our kids in their walk with God is a big responsibility but also a great privilege that we must embrace.
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6
Let's bring our children at the feet of their Savior.
He is the only one who can truly care for them, love them and teach them the truth .
Just let them come to Him.
